I am Enough!

I Am Enough!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,
I realized I didn't have to be a size 5  to be beautiful as I got older,
I used to care what people thought of me; but, that was the old her,
Now I let others criticism roll of my shoulder.

The way I look, talk, walk and dress does not tell you who I am,
I'm really loving, caring, thoughtful on the inside deep down,
And I look to no one for validation, I toot my own horn and wear my own crown,
Who cares what you think of me? I'm gone continue to stand my ground,
Because to me, I am enough, hands down!

I never wanted to be in the "in crowd" or win a popularity contest,
I'm not trying to keep up with anybody or prove myself, I have no one to impress,
Therefore, you will not make me feel bad about my job title, finances, relationships or socioeconomic status,
Long as I make me happy, long as I always do my best,
And if I'm the only one to ever love me, to ever see my worth then l am enough, I am blessed 🙌🏾

The only person I am in competition with is the face staring back at me in the mirror,
I don't need validation about my life from anyone else, you will not make me feel inferior,
So who cares if you judge me, I'm happy with myself, I see clearer,
So, yes I am enough, I am strong and I am tough, and from now on no one fears her!
